VA District Contest Schedule Changes:
Due to a lack of surf for the first 2 VA District contests, the season now begins with contest #1 to be held June 21-22 in OBX. See the contest page for more details and sign up forms. For all who signed up for the original contest #1 or #2, your applications and fees will transfer to the OBX contest instead.

VA District Represents at 2008 Mid-Atlantic Regionals:
VA District surfers make a great showing at this years Mid-Atlantic Regionals held in Myrtle Beach, SC on April 25-27. The complete results can be found here. The highlights of this event for our district includes:
- Menehune Bodyboard: Michael Bain, 2nd Place
- Open Bodyboard: Forrest Roberts, 2nd Place
- Menehune Longboard: Cam Fullmer, 6th Place
- Junior Longboard: Michael Agnew, 2nd Place
- Junior Longboard: Brandon Minor, 5th Place
- Junior Longboard: Alex Strangways, 6th Place
- Womens Longboard: Kate Easton, 1st Place

Atlantic Hurricane Forecast 2008:
Dr. Gray’s team at Colorado State is predicting an active hurricane season this year. Let’s hope they all stay off the coast and send lots of swell. Read more here...

Regional Competitor Banquet:
The competitor’s banquet at this year’s regionals will take place at 6:30PM on Friday night, April 25 at the Crown Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. The regional entry form had this event on Saturday, in error. Please make note of the change.

Judging and Competitors Clinic:
The ESA Virginia District with be hosting a judges and competitor clinic on Monday, April 7 2008 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM at the Oceanfront Library.
2008 Mid Atlantic Regionals:
The 2008 Mid Atlantic Regionals will be April 25-27 in Myrtle Beach, SC. The contest location is adjacent to the Crown Reef Hotel, which is the headquarters hotel. Keep an eye on the main ESA website for more information.
2009 Regionals in Puerto Rico:
Next year regional competition will be hosted by ESA Puerto Rico - Caribbean District. Contest sites will be at world famous breaks on Puerto Rico’s Northwest coast.
